Plan of Work and Budget (POWB) Search by scientist

The scientist can check the POWB status for the activities/projects s/he is involved in for a specific period of time. To do so you have to:

  • Set up the time period: In this example, the period is the from 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017.
  • Select the Organization: In this example the organization is ICARDA (1). Under the level section you may choose among the listed levels (2) or tick all of them.
  • Define the Disaggregation Level: Choose in-between CRP, Project or Both. It is “Both” in this example.
  • Click on “Advanced Filters”.
  • Select the Scientist: You can select one or more scientists name from the drop-down list. Under the level section you may choose among the listed levels (2) or tick all of them.
  • Click on “Get POWB”.

The search results will display all the activities/projects in which the selected scientist was involved in.

Once the system retrieves all the POWB data as per the specified search metrics the information related to that search will be collected too and will give you the chance to narrow down the search by either the projects, country, crop, etc.

For example, if you want to check the projects you are involved in, you can do so by either clicking on the projects and choose from the drop-down list or by clicking on one of the projects displayed and the POWB of that project will be displayed.

Or if you want to narrow down your search more by checking the projects by country, crop, etc., do the following:

  • Choose from the country drop down list the desired country (1): Egypt for example.
  • Choose the on which level your search should be (2): In this example it is all Levels.
  • Click on “Get POWB”

The results will show that 3 projects are working in Egypt.

The project has in general 3 levels:

  • The first level (1) is the output level.
  • The second level (2) is the outcome level. This level will be displayed only if the project outcome is defined.
  • The third level is the training levels (3): This level will be displayed only if there is a capacity development activity associated with the project.

The reporting status is indicated by symbols:

  • The agreement mapping and deliverable matching (1): On the output level
  • Status: reported (2): Means that deliverable is reported.
  • Title (3): Mentions the title of the file uploaded under that deliverable and it shows the specifications of the file uploaded which are: open access, approved, downloadable.
