How to Fill the Import Template

The project coordinators will fill an import template, so that the project “Planning” information will be automatically imported to the MEL Platform. This function saves time and the project coordinators shall check if the information is correctly imported.

 While filling the import template, these steps should  be considered;

  •  To keep the sheet's order, columns order as it is and not change them.

  •  The cells asking for email addresses do not require name information, the email address is sufficient. The names and surnames will be taken from the "Consortium Contacts" sheet.

  • To follow the format mentioned in the sheets for the dates (YYYY-MM-DD), rather than indicating the month only (ex: 1,18,36).

  • To follow the drop-downs and select from the drop-down menu.

  • Not to merge any cells since all cells should be having one value.

  • Deliverables/milestones with multiple dates can be added as separate deliverables/milestones, one for each date.

After filling the import template, the coordinators send it to the Project Officer to be shared with MEL Team.

The procedure is the following:

  • Project coordinators submit the usual template that we use for import and list partners who need to be registered on MEL.

These partners will be added to the system by MEL Team.  The login details will be provided by MEL Team to the project coordinator. When it is time for partners to log in, the project coordinator will contact the partners and inform them that they can log in. Here, the coordinator shall inform the partners that they should not try to directly register themselves.

  • If during the project more partners require registration in MEL the Project Coordinator shall add them manually using “Add user” functionality.
