When you press SLM submission, a SLM templateThe SLM New SLM datasets can be submitted by the users on Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL).
The SLM template is composed by 6 partsparts:
- Part 1: Name of the SLM Technology
- Part 2: Description of the SLM Technology
- Part 3: SLM Purpose and Classification
- Part 4: Geographic Locations, Extents and Socio-Ecological context/Environment
- Part 5: Technical Specifications, Inputs and Costs
- Part 6: Impacts, Influencing Factors
In these parts, There are mandatory information and others optional. Every part can be filled and saved separately. Please, ensure to provide all the mandatory information.
Part 1: Name of SLM Technology
In this part, you start by presenting the SLM technology by its name and where it is implemented, then putting the references for the SLM you are about to fill in: you fill all your information (Name, organization...), the references of the documentation you will use and resources persons from where you extract the data. Every information you fill in should be strictly referenced. These references should be scientifically solid and recognizable in order to get the SLM approved by the Admins. Please insert the name and location of implementation. then provide the required references on the author and the technology. If the references are clear and accurate enough, the technology might be approved by the admins. These information are mandatory.

Part 2: Description of SLM technology
In this part, you define and describe This section requires more detailed information on the SLM technology . The definition should be a brief and precise presentation of the SLM technology. However, you can develop this definition further more in the description. the definition and description are mandatory information and are referenced to you automaticallyproposed. Describe the technology and provide as many details as possible. Photos of the technology (with and related references are not mandatory but highly recommended.
...
Part 3: SLM Purpose and Classification
In this part, you fill This section requires information on in the purpose, type and measures of the SLM technology : you choose from the options given in this tool. The list were chosen based on what? in order to classify the SLM technologies. Therefore, these are mandatory informationproposed. All the points are mandatory.

Part 4: Geographic Locations, Extents and Socio-Ecological context/Environment
This part is is about section requires defining the context and the extent of the SLM technology. It is composed by 7 sections, in seven aspects:
- Section 4.1: Regions/locations where the SLM technology has been applied.
- Section 4.2: Total area where the SLM technology has been applied.
- Section 4.3: Geographic boundary of the area where the SLM technology was documented.
- Section 4.4: List of socio Socio ecological context/environment variables automatically extracted rom from the GIS performance/ impact Database.
- Section 4.5: List of environment variables filled by the documentors Environment variables.
- Section 4.6: Socio-economic conditions.
You fill in the sections the sections 4.1, 4.2, Points 4.3, 4 .6. The sections 4.4 and 4.5 are filled in automatically through exact name of layers and their sources and why we choose specificallyupon completion of the previous points. Find more information on these datasets in Annex 1.

Part 5: Technical Specifications, Inputs and Costs
This part is about section requires defining the technical requirements and the cost of such SLM technology. It is composed by 2 sectionsneeds and costs of the SLM technology proposed, in particular:
- Technical specifications: In this section, this technical structure of this SLM technology should be described.
- Costs of inputs needed for the establishment of the SLM
- Costs of inputs needed for the establishment of the SLM
These two latter sections are about calculating for the establishment and maintenance of this SLM from these perspectivesWhich are sub-divided into:
- Labor: How many workers are required to establish /maintain this and upkeep the SLM technology? What is the cost per worker? If there are different categories of workers, you can always add based on the number of categoriesThese information can be provided per "labor categories" instead of "workers".
- Equipment: What are the required equipment for establishing/maintain this Which tools are needed to establish and upkeep the SLM technology? What is the cost per equipment? and how many of them are needed? If there are different equipments, you can always add based on the number of categoriestool? These information can be provided per "equipment categories" instead of "tools".
- Plant materials: What are the required plant materials for establishing/maintain this Which plants are needed to establish and upkeep the SLM technology? What is the cost per material? and how many of them are needed? If there are different materials, you can always add based on the number of categoriesplant? These information can be provided per "plants categories" instead of "plants".
- Fertilizers and biocides: What are the required fertilizers and biocides for establishing/maintain this Which fertilizers and biociders are needed to establish and upkeep the SLM technology? What is the cost for everyone of them? and how many of them are needed? If there are different fertilizers and biocides, you can always add based on the number of categoriesper fertilizer or biocider? These information can be provided per "fertilizers/biociders categories" instead of "fertilizers/biociders".
- Construction materials: What are the required construction materials for establishing/maintain this Which construction materials are needed to establish and upkeep the SLM technology? What is the cost per material? and how many of them are needed? If there are different materials, you can always add based on the number of categories These information can be provided per "materials categories" instead of "materials".
- Other inputs: If there are other inputs which can not be classified as the categories mentioned above, you can put them in this Any other need can be registered in this sub-section.
- Costs: In this section, the The total cost will be automatically calculated in this sub-section.

Part 6: Impacts, Influencing Factors
This part is section requires highlighting the impacts expected impact of this the SLM technology from different stakeholders and different perspectives. The answers are qualitative: theyIt is composed by 8 sections:proposed, from several perspectives:
- On-site impacts that the SLM technology has shown: These impacts are impact: divided into 3 three categories : 1) socio-economic impacts, 2) socio-cultural impacts and , 3) ecological impacts. We can say why we choose these impacts.
- Off-site impacts that the SLM technology has shown:impact: in particular, risk reduction in the neighbors fields and areas.
- Exposure and sensitivity of the SLM technology to gradual climate change and climate-related extremes /disasters:and disasters: How does the SLM technology cope with 1) gradual climate changes and 2) extremes disasters (e.g. meteorological, climatological, hydrological, biological)?
- Cost-Benefit analysis from land-users perspectives: in particular, are costs of establishment and upkeep balanced by the benefits for the land users?
- Adoption of the SLM technology: The section is about how much this SLM technolgy, where and how?
- Adaptation of the SLM technology: How does the SLM technology cope with generic potential changes?
- Strengths/, advantages /and opportunities of the using SLM technology:Weaknesses/ these are discussed from the perspective of 1) land users, 2) SLM experts, 3) documenters and other observes, 4) policy-makers and third parties.
- Weaknesses, disadvantages of the SLM Technology and ways to overcome them: these are discussed from the perspective of 1) land users, 2) SLM experts, 3) documenters and other observes, 4) policy-makers and third parties.
