Edit details contains the complete metadata requested for an uploaded item.

Each reported type (e.g. journal article, video, dataset, etc.) has its own list of required metadata.

If the reported type is journal article as per our example, the required metadata to be filled will be as follows and it is divided to several parts:

Part one:

Contains the information added in “Edit” (1) section. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) field is optional and is included in this part.

Once you your file is uploaded and saved for the first time, the system records it as a first version.

The system generates a new version for each time you access the “Edit”/“Edit details” Sections to update the metadata or add/delete files. By this way you can save multiple versions of your file such as first word then PDF.

All fields marked with asterisk are mandatory.

You can add as much links as you want by clicking on “+” and selecting the URL type your want.

The URL is mandatory only when the online publication date is filled.

Add Reference (From MEL): By clicking on “Add Reference (From MEL)” a new field will open. Type one character at least or the full title and select from the drop-down list.

Note that You can see the item added as a reference only if you add a MELSpace approved items (the doi appears next to the publication). You can access it online by clicking on the blue box as indicated in the image with red arrow.

Add Reference (External publications): You can add a reference from external resource by clicking on “Add Reference (External publications)” a set of fields will open with the following required information:

Citation*: Add the citation of the required publication.

ID Type*: Several ID types are made available such as (DOI, ISSN, ISBN, URL, etc.). Choose the most appropriate one from the drop-down list.

ID Number*: add the number of the ID type you have selected. For example, if you have selected the DOI as ID type then you have to add under this field the DOI number.

URL*: Copy and paste the URL for the publication you want to add as reference.

Once all the information is provided, click on "Save Changes" to report the item. The reported item will be visible in the Project Deliverable Reportings/Manage Reported files.
