Link files to your uploaded file
You can link multiple files to your already uploaded file, for example, if you have uploaded a dataset for an experiment and you want to add the report, journal article and images related to that dataset you can do so by:
Click on “Edit” (2) or “Edit details” (3) next to the file (1) that you want to link other files to.
By clicking on “Edit” the related window will open. Note that there is a slight difference in metadata between journal article and dataset types. If the type selected is dataset (1), two extra fields are added to edit
- Sub-Type* (2) to specify the type of dataset uploaded.
- Dataverse (3).
Or you can click on “Edit details”. The related window will open. Note that there is a slight difference in metadata between journal article and dataset types. Four extra fields are added to edit details section.
- Number of dataset users (1): Specify the number of dataset users.
- Dataverse (2): Select the dataverse topic from drop-down list.
- Data collector (3): Click on “Add data collector” a related field will open. Click on “choose from users” (5) to select the desired user. Click on “Choose from partner” (6) to select the desired partner. Click on “Delete” (7) to delete the field.
- Dataverse Subjects (4): Specify the subject of the datavese selected from the drop-down list.
