Deliverables on MEL are those tangible products that result from activities undertaken to achieve a determined Output. They should reflect the yearly Work Plan.  Only project managers /co-managers and Output responsible & co-responsible may add a deliverable.

To add a new deliverable, click on Deliverables (1).

A window will open. Select Add New in the top left corner of the window (2).

Then fill in the boxes as required: (3).

  • Add a “Title” (3.1) that reflects the focus/subject of the deliverable. Note that at the planning stage the title does not need to be the exact final one, as this will most probably be decided once the deliverable has been produced.
  • You may also add a “Description” (3.2) if you want to give some further information/details on the deliverable you are going to produce.
  • Select a “Delivery date” (3.3) as per agreed work plan. This should reflect the reporting requirements, which sometime may also include not only final documents but also draft ones, especially for internal reporting purposes.
  • In the “Assign deliverable to” (3.4) select from the list of register users (which at this stage should have already been added under the team of the project), the person responsible to report the specific deliverable. Note that to avoid multiple reporting in the case of multiple authors, one person only - usually the main author - will be assigned as responsible. The person assigned with this responsibility will be accountable to fulfill the reporting as per requirement. The deliverable will appear in her/his profile (Home dashboard).
  • Under “Crop” (3.5) select the subject(s) the output focuses such as FISH/WHEAT from the drop down list.
  • Select the “CRP” (3.6) the deliverable refers/is linked to. You may select more than one.
  • Specify the “Country” (3.7) the deliverable focuses on. You may select more than one or the option Global accordingly for each case.
  • “Result Type” (3.8) refers to the type of deliverable you are going to produce. If you are unsure on their definition, keep the mouse over on the type you are interested to and a definition will pop up. If the type is not in the list, you may select Other.

Once you have filled all the fields as per requirement, click on Save Changes to record the deliverable.
