Your ORCiD

ORCiD is a non-profit organization which  by a global community of organizational members, including research organizations, publishers, funders, professional associations, and other stakeholders in the research ecosystem. ORCiD provides a persistent, unique digital identifier to every registered researcher and worldwide recognition in an extended network through automatic integration in key workflows for journal articles, manuscripts, reports, grant submission and more.

It is possible for the users to register on ORCiD through MEL, or link an existing ORCiD account to the MEL account. This will allow every publication reported through MEL to be sealed with the ORCiD ID of its authors, for enhanced knowledge sharing and rightful attribution. The users will also have access to their list of reported publications in the overview of their homepage.


In order to link an ORCiD account to MEL you should register first. Go to the home page and click on "Your ORCiD".


A new tab will open, connecting with the ORCiD website.


Click on "Register now"  under Register to proceed.


Fill in the required information and click on "register". Another tab will then reveal your unique ORCiD ID. Fill in your biographic information and proceed.


The missing information can be added anytime later on. Once done, click on "Sign out" to logout ORCiD.


Done! The ORCiD ID and related info have been retrieved by MEL and will be applied to all publications reported through MEL attributed to you.


It is possible to access ORCiD or simply visualise your ID status anytime by clicking on "Your ORCiD" through MEL homepage.
