Reported document and data - Approvals/Action
As mentioned in the previously, the approvals/action section consists of 5 options:
Edit and approve:
To approve the file. Choose the file to approve and click on “Edit & approve”.
The file’s metadata page will open with the following information:
- Explains the workflow statues “1”.
- If you want the item to appear on ICARDA website “2”, tick the box next to “Show on ICARDA Website”.
- Current Versions “3”: You have three options:
- Click on “View current version” to check the uploaded file.
- Click on “Add a new version” to add a new version.
- Click on “V3” to view the uploaded versions. In this case, it is 3 versions.
- Click on “Save Changes” to save any changes you have made to the file “4”.
- Click on “Approve” to approve the file “5”.
Go to Reporting:
You can check the output reporting and the deliverable where the file is uploaded by Clicking on “Go to reporting”.
The main page where the file is uploaded will open.
Start a discussion:
If you have any doubts or questions regarding the uploaded file, you can start a discussion with the user who has submitted the file by clicking on “start a discussion”.
A note will appear asking if you want to go to the discussion page.
Click on “Go to discussion”. The discussion page will open. Click on “Start new discussion” to start a new discussion with the requested user.
Add the discussion title and the choose the requested user from the drop-down list and click on start. A message will be sent to that user.
Assign:
If you want to assign the file to be approved by another user, click on “assign”.
Select the name of the user to assign and click on “assign”.
Delete MEL Space:
If you want a remove a file which is previously approved to MELSpace in order to re-approve it internally. Choose the requested file and click on “Delete MEL Space”. The file will be deleted from MELSpace but it will still be saved in MEL, where you can re-approve it once again internally.
