Add New Outputs

To add a new Output, click on the “Add New” button on the top left corner of the “Outputs” section (1).

By clicking on “Add New”, a new window will open (1) with three different sections (“Information” 1.1, “CRP mapping” 1.2 and “*Center Name* mapping” 1.3). The latter refers to the specific CRP (in this case shown here is DS, Dryland System) selected for the project in Project Edit - Project General Information.

In the “Information” (1.1) sub-section, the user can fill-in the following information:

  • Output Responsible (1.1.1): it is possible to type in the text box or select from the drop-down list the name of the responsible for the output.
  • Output Co-Responsible (1.1.2): by typing in the text box or selecting from the drop-down list the name of the co-responsible for the output. Note that the co-responsible has full access to the output and is able to make changes.
  • Output Name (1.1.3): the name of the output should be worded to describe a positive and accomplished action (e.g. enhanced, achieved, promoted).
  • Indicator Type (1.1.4): to be selected among the available options (Frameworks and concepts, Knowledge, Data, Tool, Value Chain assessment, Agro-Ecosystem analyzed/characterized, Innovation Platform, Technologies and practices, Policy analysis). By hovering over these options, it is possible to visualize their definition from the Glossary. Remember to pay attention to the selection of the (output) indicator type, as the choice will influence the kind of information asked for the Annual Reporting (AR). For each indicator chosen there will be a corresponding sub-menu that is possible to edit by clicking on the “Edit AR Indicatorunder “Actions.
  • Start Date (1.1.5) and End Date (1.1.6): they depend on the work plan and they should reflect the overall period of work on each specific output.
  • Collaborating Scientists (1.1.7): in this field it is possible to add the name(s) of the team member(s) working at and/or involved in the output.

In the “CRP mapping” (1.2) sub-section, it is possible to see an overview of the information added in Project Edit – Project General Information:

  • CRP (1.2.1): the CGIAR Research Program on which the project is tagged.
  • Flagship (1.2.2): namely the collection of projects.
  • Cluster (1.2.3): within each flagship, projects are grouped into clusters of activities according to the research outcomes the flagship aims to achieve.
  • Product (1.2.4).
  • Output (1.2.5).

It is possible to see the “Add New” button whenever the project has been mapped to one or more CRPs, Flagships and/or Clusters in Project Edit - Project General Information. The new added CRP mapping related to this specific output will comprise the field previously mentioned (2.2.1 - 2.2.5).

Once completed, click on “Save Changes”.

Remember that all the fields with asterisk are mandatory.

The output will now appear in the list of outputs on the main page. It will also be possible to perform other activities as shown on last column of the table (“Actions”). These actions are:
